It is possible that I’ve been a ‘little’ close-mouthed about book four so far. Most of you will know that I am co-currently working on another series (eeeeee), so the writing cave has been my spot of choice for the last couple of months.
Let me make amends for this.
Today I am releasing the title of the last book in Olina’s story, by April 25th you will know the release date (keep an eye out for my podcast on The Thirteenth Hour because that’s where you’ll hear it first), and in the coming months I will get that cover to you as well – It’s under construction right now.
I’ve known what the covers would be right from the start. It has killed me trying to keep all of this a secret. Not my forte 😀
Now. That title.
I have written about the reasoning behind my titles a couple of times [contains SPOILERS: enter at your own risk). If you want to avoid spoilers of the first three books please skip right to the end to see the title]
Fantasy of Frost
We all know in this book that Olina eventually ends up on Glacium. So there is a literal sense to this. But more than that, in book one she believes that her salvation lays in hardening herself to her mother’s treatment. She believes that she will only survive if her emotions are cold; if nothing can get to her.
Fantasy of Flight
Again, Olina literally gets her wings in this. And flees the castle once more. But this is a follow on from the emotional changes mentioned above. In book two, Olina is finding herself. For the first time she is anonymous – and unveiled – she has a chance to test her wings without the scrutiny of her mother’s court, or the burden of her position. This is where the first suspicion that maybe she doesn’t have to go through life alone, starts to enter her head.
Fantasy of Fire
HOT! Olina really comes into herself in book three. It was so awesome to write this story. Her passion and her ambitions come to the fore – her fire. And the passion between herself and Jovan reaches new levels. Of course, there is also the arrival of our fire friends, the solati, from Osolis. Olina takes a major step forward, transforming from an ember into a flame (how many fire metaphors can I put in here :P).
Which brings us to….
Book Four.
This book is about Olina’s desires and the deepest dreams that she holds for herself. As well as this, she is trying to get release from those things that have burdened her for the last half revolution. Those who have read the series will know that there are at least three major things which have occupied her thoughts since Fantasy of Frost…
For this reason, the conclusion to Olina’s story will be titled…
I hope you guys like it!
Unfortunately, book four couldn’t be called Fantasy of F&%#ing the Tatum Up, or Fantasy of Frickin’ Cool Stories as a couple of my readers suggested.
More information on Fantasy of Freedom coming up in the next few weeks, including that mysterious release date.
Happy Reading,
