Firstly, a HUGE Thank You for 100 reviews! You guys are tops xx
Now, I’m the first to admit that I didn’t make it easy on my readers. The Tainted Accords is a complicated world, full of complicated things. And just when you think you’ve got it figured out, then you suddenly remember the damn planets rotate.
Oh, but not the same way. No, they go opposite ways. Because why? I like to think the opposing force keep the islands of the Oscala afloat. If you are a astrophysicist specialized in fantasy worlds please don’t judge me.
I enjoy that every person will think up a slightly different world. And it’s why I tend to put in less description, rather than more. If your mind wants to arrange Glacium or Osolis in a particular way, then I say let it. And if you would prefer Sanjay’s beard to be bushy and tangled, rather than trimmed and neatly groomed, I say "Why the Solis not?".
At the same time…
It’s rather nice to compare.
So here is The Tainted Accords as I see it. Thank you for Renflower Grapx for working so hard on this.
How does it compare to your own visualization of the world…
[Please note there were some things/places which couldn’t be included as they are spoilers to Fantasy of Frost]
I don’t think people appreciate the work Ren put in, until they see what I sent her. Out of the group I showed this to, two people said it wasn’t actually that bad.
-They were both teachers – used to seeing crayon drawings from 5 year olds? I think so.
But maybe you won’t see the difference. Maybe the before and after maps are identical and I’m too harsh on my drawing abilities.
– You can be the judge.
Please, be my guest and scroll up and down a few times.
And in case you missed some of the finer details….
I particularly like the comment in the middle on the right picture.
It is lucky the world has people like Ren.
I hope you like it – and Fantasy of Fire’s cover that was finally revealed a couple of days ago. Congrats on answering all of that trivia, by the way, you’re all stars.
Happy Reading,
