One of my favourite things to do with Kindle books I read is to look at the highlighted quotes.
In the build up to the release of Black Crown on June 30th (eep!), we grabbed your favourite quotes from Shadow Wings.
Yes, we stalked our own book. Guilty as charged.
I hope you enjoy the dip back into Ryn’s head 😉 … And that Lord Nightmare….
These blog posts contain spoilers of book one and two in The Darkest Drae series. Continue if you dare.
“I always want to touch you,” Tyrrik whispered in my ear.
Slap me with a pancake and call me a potato! I could exist on that smell alone. I loved it so much I could roll around in it, lick it up like syrup, I could … I blinked through the sudden fog of desire surrounding me.
Tyrrik’s eyes shone as he practically ran toward me. His smile, a rare thing to behold, was as wide as I’d ever seen it.
“Your senses are good,” Tyrrik purred. “Very good.”
My chest swelled. “I have a golden trinket too.”
“It’s a beautiful trinket. You will take good care of it.”
“Thank you,” I said gravely. “I will.”
TYRRIK: “Do you expect a priceless heirloom for everything?'”
RYN: “‘You set a precedent is all I’m saying.'”
“Come on, Ryn. You’re his mate”- Dyter pointed back and forth between the two of us -“and he’s yours.”
“Love doesn’t mean you’re perfect. Loving someone doesn’t mean you don’t screw up. In fact, I’d say the more you love someone, the more time you spend with that someone, the more you’re going to have to say you’re sorry. Love means you say sorry sooner because when you realize you’ve hurt someone you truly love, you want to do whatever you can to make it right.”
“Because,” Tyrrik said, the pulse in his throat feathering as he stroked my skin. “You are my mate.”
“You’re my reason for being, my purpose, my world. I would do anything for you.”
TYRRIK: “Your hoard is for our family. By collecting precious objects and keeping them safe, you are showing me you would make a good mother to our children.”
A depraved emperor. A wasted realm. A dying race.
