Any dystopian romance lovers out there looking for a fast-paced read? Try Last Battle for Earth. This was the second series I wrote and it takes me back to a bus ride in Ireland when I first heard the characters in this series start to bicker and banter (in my head, obvs). Friendship is such a strong theme in this series that it makes sense Knot 27 were the first voices chirping in my ears.
The story follows Romy, who grew up in space, protecting Earth until it could be inhabited again. Everything changes when a battle goes awry and Romy and Knot 27 are hurtling towards Earth. And Romy knows that even if she survives the crash landing, there’s no way she can survive a post-global warming Earth.
Tropes: slow-burn romance, strong friendships, betrayal, moral discrepancies, badass heroine!

“I absolutely love The 100, and the more I read The Retreat, the more I knew I would fall in love with this trilogy. The Retreat has a similar feel to The 100, yet it’s completely different and unique! Kelly has created yet another fantastic series!” – Book Nerd
